College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) allows candidates who perform well on the exams to receive credit for and bypass certain first year survey courses. CLEP exams test mastery of college-level material acquired in a variety of ways — through general academic instructions, significant independent study or extracurricular work. CLEP exam-takers include adults just entering or returning to school, military service members and traditional college students.

English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)


The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) are comprised of two separate ELP assessments:

  • An initial identification of students as English learners
  • An annual summative assessment to measure a student’s progress in learning English and to identify the student's ELP level.

ETS® Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL)

 

Educational Testing Service (ETS) invites School Leaders to participate in the scoring of the ETS Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL). The PASL assessment allows a test taker to demonstrate the application of knowledge and skills identified as relevant and important for beginning school leaders. Successful school leaders with a passion for strong instructional leadership and experience implementing practices that drive consistent, transformational growth are encouraged to apply. 

Actively Seeking:

  • K-12 School Administrators with an active credential with at least 3 years of current experience as:

Principal, Assistant Principal, Director, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or          other District Administrator role                                                                                       

Or

  • Currently an educational leadership program professor (graduate level)

Praxis® Subject Assessments


The Praxis® Subject Assessments measure knowledge of specific subjects that K-12 educators will teach, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge. The Praxis Subject Assessments are usually taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the teacher licensing and certification process required by many states.

The California Science Test (CAST)


The California Science Test (CAST) is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). All local educational agencies (LEAs) with eligible students in grades five and eight and in high school will administer the CAST operational test. The CAST operational test uses the current California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test delivery system and will be only administered online.

The CAST is administered in grades five and eight and once to each student while that student is in high school. All students must take the CAST by the end of grade twelve, but have the option of testing in grade ten or grade eleven. Only eligible students may participate in the administration of the CAST.
